Learning notes, rhythm, words and then dynamics in that order makes the learning go much more smoothly, but lately what I found helps me a lot is to stop trying so hard. More about this in another post. The Tosti piece is actually meant for a male singer, but with some tweaking of the italian I can get away with it.
